Medical Outreach, Kabba Kogi state, 2014
Mark Anumah Medical Mission (MAMM) carried out the 4th medical outreach in Kabba Zonal Hospital in kogi state from the 30th of November to the 5th of December 2014.
The chairperson of MAMM: Felicia Anumah, led a team of 65 volunteers including Physicians, Surgeons, Pharmacists, Nurses, Dentists, Counselors and logistics team members to join the resident Staff of the Hospital to carry out a medical outreach that spanned over 5 days.
On the 1st of December, we paid a coutesy vist to the Obaro of Kabba, HRH Chief Michael Olobayo who was happy with us and gave us his royal blessing.
In 5 working days, we saw 1,700 medical patients. The Surgeons and the Gynecologists performed various surgeries on about 100 patients including prostatectomies, thyroidectomies, herniotomies, herniorraphies, myomectomies, Hysterectomies and vaginal wall repairs. The dental group attended to 95 patients and performed procedures on about 40 of them including tooth extractions, removal of cysts/lymphnodes.
